NDPP holds 3rd general convention in Kohima

NDPP leaders today cleared the air on the ongoing issue of party’s derecognition.

Party president Chingwang Konyak, while addressing the gathering at the NDPP’s 3rd general convention in Kohima, re-assured that the party fulfills all criteria to be recognised as a state party and termed the demand for its derecognition as the opposition’s game-play.

Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton also supported Konyak on the matter and said NDPP and BJP are allies in the state and added BJP wouldn’t form ally with a party that is going to lose its power.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Nephiu Rio T reiterated the commitment of the PDA Govt.

He said the government will leave no stone unturned in achieving their ambition of bringing all round progress and development in the state.

He further appealed to all mass based organisations, civil society, tribal organisations, churches, NGOs and public to come together under one spirit of solidarity to achieve an early solution to the ongoing naga peace talks.
