The National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) which recently signed the historic Bodo Accord with the Centre has formed a three member co-ordination committee to look into implementation of the Clauses of the Accord.

Besides, 12 members representing the 4 factions of the NDFB will assist the committee.

This was informed by NDFB leader Dhiren Boro who maintained that the four factions of the NDFB are working together but there is no official unification as such.

Amidst speculations that a new political party may soon come into existence in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) ahead of the BTC elections, NDFB leader Dhiren Boro said that there were no deliberations on this matter.

Boro also clarified that the co-ordination committee will take the final call on every aspect.

It may be mentioned that leaders of all the four factions of the NDFB held a meeting at Bijni in Assam’s Chirang district yesterday.

NDFB leaders Gobindo Basumatary, Dhiren Boro, Ranjan Daimary, B Saoraigwra besides other leaders were present in the meeting.

The meeting was held just ahead of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) convention at Tamulpur beginning today.
