Amid surging COVID-19 cases following the emergence of the Omicron variant, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the Chief Ministers of all states at 4:30 PM today.
At the scheduled meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take stock of the prevailing COVID situation in every state in the video conferencing.

While the emerging states of concern are Maharashtra, West Bengal, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Gujarat.
It may be mentioned that the Prime Minister also chaired a meeting to review the COVID-19 situation in the country on January 9.
During that review meeting, PM Modi stressed the need to ensure adequate health infrastructure at the district level and asked officials to maintain coordination regarding this with the States.
