Nagaland’s first ever woman MLA Hekani Jekhalu speaks exclusively to Northeast Live

Well known lawyer and social entrepreneur Hekani Jakhalu has become the first woman of Nagaland to win the Assembly elections and become an MLA.
She won on a NDPP ticket from the Dimapur III seat. She won by a margin of 1,536 votes. She defeated Azheto Zhimomi of LJP (Ram Vilas).
