Nagaland ULB polls: Govt reaches consensus with stakeholders to hold ULB polls

The Nagaland Government has decided to oppose the contentious Uniform Civil Code and the Forest Conservation Act in Nagaland.
Speaking to the Media after the meeting, Government Spokesperson KG Kenye said the Government along with the invited Tribal Bodies and Civil Society Organizations have arrived at a consensus on the 3 matters pertaining to Urban Local Bodies, UCC, and the Forest Conservation (Amendment) Act 2023.
