After 6 days of agitation, government of Nagaland has finally responded to Sarbha Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association’s demands. With government’s decision to agree to all their demands, the association has called off their protest.

SSA teachers today met Principal Secretary of Sate Education department along with some govt officials and the govt has decided to meet all the demands put forward by the association.

NSF and ENSF were also a part of the meeting and according to the president of the Association, both the organisations played an important role while the negotiation was on. In regard to this matter, a review meet has been fixed where NSF and ENSF will also be present. The meet will be held on 12th of July.

The teachers’ demands included their inclusion under 7th revision of pay, salaries of SSA teachers of 2010-2013 batches to be paid from state non-plan budget and release of salary between the month of January and March this year as per the 7th Revision of pay.
