Nagaland reported 16 new COVID-19 positive cases out of 723 samples tested on Saturday, taking the state’s overall tally to 3,635.
Out of the new cases that were detected, 12 are from Kohima, 2 from Tuensang and one each from Longleng and Wokha.
Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom took to Twitter to inform that the cases were confirmed out of 615 samples that were sent for testing.
“Update! 16 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of 723 samples tested. 12 in Kohima, 2 in Tuensang, 1 each in Wokha & Longleng. Necessary contact tracing has been activated,” Phom tweeted.
The health minister in another tweet announced the recovery of 92 more COVID-19 patients in the state. Among the recovered patients, 72 are from Kohima, 18 from Dimapur and 2 from Peren district.
