The ENPO had on October 11 said that the state government will have to submit its comments to the Government of India by October 31, which is today.
However, following yesterday’s crucial cabinet meet, the ENPO is now likely to hold its emergency CEC meeting soon to further discuss the course of action, if the comments are found to be unsatisfactory.
The Eastern Nagaland Legislators Union had submitted its comments on the proposed Frontier Naga Territory to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on October 28.
State spokesperson and Minister KG Kenye had yesterday informed that the state government is now ready to give its comments to the Government of India, however, there is no timeframe to submit its comments.
