Nagaland CM Calls On PM Modi in New Delhi, Discusses Issues Related to State’s Development

CM Rio also sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's continued support and guidance for further development in the state
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi yesterday and discussed a host of key issues pertaining to the progress and development of the state.
In a post on social media, CM Rio said that he conveyed to the Prime Minister about the ongoing development projects and initiatives in the state.
Besides, Rio also sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continued support and guidance for further development in the state.
Apart from the development agenda, other key issues like the Naga peace process, demand for a Frontier Nagaland might also have found place in the discussions, sources said.
With the Modi government coming back to power for the 3rd consecutive term, it is expected that the ongoing process to bring an acceptable and honourable solution to the Naga political issue will get a new momentum.
It was on December last year, that the Nagaland Chief Minister had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the national capital.
