A Nagaland youth has reportedly been abducted from trouble-torn Manipur.
As per reports, the youth identified as Peyao Konyak, son of Moba Konyak, hailing from Mon district in Nagaland, was working as a labourer at Victoria Veener Mills, Yairipok, in Manipur’s Thoubal district.
It is being alleged that the youth was abducted yesterday by unknown miscreants from the Victoria Veener Mills and the manager of the Mill has also filed an FIR in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Konyak Union has made an urgent appeal to the Nagaland government to immediately intervene with the Manipur government and ensure the safe release of the youth.
In a circular, the Konyak union also said that the immediate involvement of both the Nagaland and Manipur governments is crucial to ensure the safe return of the youth belonging to the Konyak community.
