Body of Nagaland Assembly Speaker Vikho-o Yhoshu, who passed away on Monday in Mumbai will reach Dimapur Airport at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, following which the mortal remains will be taken to his official residence in Kohima.

On January 1, state funeral service of the Late Nagaland Speaker will be done at his official residence in Kohima.

Yhoshu’s body will later be taken to Kimifuphe Ground for the general public to pay their last tributes to the departed soul.

67-year-old Yhoshu was from the NDPP party who contested from Southern Angami constituency and was elected as Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker.

Yhoshu was undergoing treatment at Mumbai after being diagnosed with lung cancer. He had been unwell for a very long time and his Deputy Speaker was taking charge of things in his absence.

Meanwhile, the State Government has announces a three-day State mourning.
