Nagaland: 14-day mandatory institutional quarantine for those entering state from May 18

The Nagaland government has issued an order with partial modification of the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) whereby all persons entering the State from 18th May onwards will undergo 14-day mandatory institutional quarantine.

Subsequent to this the returnees stranded in different parts of the nation will have to undergo 14-day home quarantine after they return to Nagaland.

Besides, the elderly, children below 10 years and pregnant women will have to undergo mandatory home quarantine for 28 days. Active surveillance will be done so that the home quarantine guidelines are not violated.

However, the above modifications will not apply to persons who have already entered the State before 18th May 2020 from Orange/Green Zones and have not crossed Red Zones en route to the State. All other provisions of the SOP shall continue to be in effect.
