The National People’s Front (NPF) said that the onus of ensuring a solution to the Naga-Peace talks lies on the Bharatiya Janata Party as the party had five years ago called for solution.

The statement was made by NPF secretary general Achumbemo Kikon on Tuesday. He further said that the party believes in a peaceful, honorable and inclusive solution.

Kikon, however, added that the situation continued to be conducive for the BJP party to ensure early solution.

Earlier on April 9, the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue held a crucial meeting in Kohima.

It is also to be mentioned that the top political leaders of Nagaland have been pushing for a solution at the earliest, even urging the NSCN-IM and the Government of India to try and come to a middle point.
