Laitumkhrah, located in the heart of Shillong city, stands to benefit from the much hyped Shillong Smart City project once the Government approves for the same.
Speaking on the Smart City projects in Laitumkhrah, local MLA, Ampareen Lyngdoh, said the project is important for urban constituencies as they do not get schemes like MGNREGA, job cards and others. Lyngdoh informed she has submitted proposals to the PWD to attend to the length and breadth of the roads in her constituency to ensure that pedestrians get a safe walking space.
