Mizoram’s outgoing Chief Minister Zoramthanga has stepped down as the president of the Mizo National Front (MNF) after an over three-decade stint as its chief, following the party’s big defeat in the recently concluded assembly polls. The MNF could garner only 10 seats, down from its tally of 27 in the 2018 assembly polls with Zoramthanga also losing his Aizawl East I seat.
