Mizoram has reported a fresh spike in COVID infections, with as many as 61 new cases reported from the state today.
With this, the state’s positivity rate now stands at 9.67%. Furthermore, with one fresh COVID fatality reported during the same time period, the state’s COVID death toll now stands at 690.

Meanwhile, the state now has 642 active cases, while 2,24,630 people have so far recovered from the infection.
According to state immunisation officer Dr. Lalmuanawma Jongte, over 8.40 lakh people have been inoculated as of Wednesday, out of which 6.74 lakh have received the full dose.
