The much anticipated Mizoram Universal Healthcare Scheme which aims to provide Universal Health Coverage to all residents of the state has started operations today. The scheme is set to consolidate
The much anticipated Mizoram Universal Healthcare Scheme which aims to provide Universal Health Coverage to all residents of the state has started operations today. The scheme is set to consolidate the existing AB PM-JAY, Mizoram State Health Care Scheme and Government Medical Reimbursement programs into one unified initiative. Under the MUHCS, healthcare services will be provided through a “Package System,” offering cashless treatment which is expected to address the loopholes that existed in previous healthcare schemes.
