In a bid to make farmers self-reliant, the Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma today launched a workshop on handholding scheme and the National Livestock Mission Scheme. Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Lalduhoma said that there was a big need for the state to be self-sufficient in livestock as lakhs are spent every year in importing the same. CM Lalduhoma also said that his government is determined to give assistance under the flagship- Handholding Scheme which marks a turn from the freebie policy.
