A joint team of the Aizawl Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, Excise, and Narcotics Department, Aizawl recovered a massive quantity of Methamphetamine tablets worth over Rs 49 crores in Mizoram on Saturday, marking yet another success in their crusade against smuggling activities.
The joint team recovered 1,50,000 Methamphetamine tablets in the general Sakawrtuichhun area of Aizawl.
The approximate cost of the recovered Methamphetamine tablets is Rs 49,99,50,000.

Based on specific information received, the joint team launched a Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) at Sakawrtuichhun on Saturday.
During the operation, the team noticed a suspected vehicle moving at around 10.40 am. They stopped the vehicle and performed a thorough spot check, while they found the Methamphetamine tablets.
Four people were taken into custody and the methamphetamine tablets were seized. (ANI)
