Confined to a wheelchair but powered by an unbreakable spirit, Prisca has become a strong presence in the world of para arm wrestling.

In the quiet hills of Meghalaya, stories of strength often echo in silence. Today, these stories ring loud and clear across the nation through the remarkable achievements of para-athletes who turn adversity into triumph. Leading the way is Miss Prisca Pyngrope, a young athlete whose journey inspires everyone she meets.

Confined to a wheelchair but powered by an unbreakable spirit, Prisca has become a strong presence in the world of para arm wrestling. Competing in the 65 kg below category, she clinched back-to-back gold medals at the 22nd and 23rd Para Asian Arm Wrestling Championships 2025, held recently in New Delhi.

Prisca also holds the unique distinction of being the only para-athlete from Meghalaya to represent the state at the Khelo India Para Games. She continues to carry forward a legacy built on courage, discipline, and determination.

Every day, Prisca juggles her professional responsibilities while dedicating herself to intense gym sessions and physical training. Navigating the streets of Shillong in a wheelchair, especially during the tough monsoon season, brings constant challenges. But she never lets these obstacles stop her.

Her journey stands as a powerful reminder that real strength lies not in physical ability, but in the resilience of the human spirit. Through her achievements, Prisca Pyngrope proves that passion and persistence can break all barriers.
