Meghalaya wins 3 National awards in the Health sector

In a proud moment for Meghalaya, the state has been conferred with 3 National awards including one for NEIGRIHMS during the Arogya Manthan celebrations chaired by Union Health Minister, Mansukh

In a proud moment for Meghalaya, the state has been conferred with 3 National awards including one for NEIGRIHMS during the Arogya Manthan celebrations chaired by Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandviya. The awards conferred include state with highest hospitalization rate, Gender Equity and health insurance claims.

In the Small States category, Meghalaya is among the ‘Top 3 states with highest hospitalization rate’. Moreover the state also leads in Gender Equity in provision of health insurance through PMJAY and MHIS. NEIGRIHMS have also been selected as one of the Public Hospitals with the highest number of health insurance claims and effective implementation of Health Insurance Programme.

Meghalaya also ranks 2nd in the ‘State Food Safety Index’ among the smaller states in the country. Meghalaya has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, for its work in building Food Safety Ecosystem.
