Meghalaya SSA Teachers Divided, One Group Demands Job Security, Other Demands Salary Enhancements

Protesting Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan teachers in Meghalaya, seem to be divided in their approach while pressing the state government for better job security and salary enhancements. One faction has issued a two-month ultimatum to the government, demanding the implementation of a policy that would secure their services, similar to what has been done for SSA teachers in other states across the country. Meanwhile, another group of SSA teachers is staging a protest demonstration at Malki Ground in Shillong, seeking the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
