Deputy CM Prestone Tyngsong has hit back at the TMC over allegations of a government hand behind the dome collapse of the new Meghalaya Assembly building.
In a big statement, Tynsong on Wednesday said that he does not have time to reply to the allegations made by the general secretary of the Trinamool Congress Saket Gokhale who accused the government of colluding with the contractors assigned to the construction of the Meghalaya Assembly building at Mawdiangdiang.
Tynsong said that if Gokhale wants to find out the truth he should come to Shillong.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister also said that there is no use in responding to allegations by MPCC president Vincent Pala regarding corruption by the government, especially in the Home department.
Terming the allegations baseless, DY CM Prestone stated that any allegation made, must be substantiated.
Meanwhile, in another big development, Meghalaya Deputy CM Prestone Tynsong has rubbished charges of the state government being unable to control the illegal transportation of coal in Hill State.
Stating that trucks transporting coal have been issued legal challans, the DY CM questioned ‘where is the illegal transportation?’
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
