Meghalaya is tune culture capital of India: Mamata Banerjee

Mamata Banerjee is making a hard push in Meghalaya even as TMC is concentrating hard on the Garo Hills districts.

Banerjee, today made her second visit to the poll-bound state today and addressed a public rally at Mendipathar in the North Garo Hills. During her address, she tried to connect Meghalaya and West Bengal on a musical note as she termed Bengal as the cultural capital of India, and Meghalaya as the tune culture capital of India. Banerjee also tried to mimic the tune of the whistle of a particular village in Meghalaya who whistle to each other to communicate.
