Meghalaya Health Minister, AL Hek on Wednesday allayed fears over the outbreak of swine flu in the state while asserting that the entire state has been put on alert and that the government was not taking any chance.
Pointing out that the two individual who were detected of swine flu had come from outside the state, Hek said that there is no cases detected from the state.
He informed that the government was continuously monitoring the situation.
Recently, a 58-year-old woman who was tested positive of swine flu was admitted at Nazareth Hospital on October 17, where she died later.
Another 29 year old another patient whose test results are showing positive for H1N1 is undergoing treatment.
