Meghalaya Govt to request Centre for approval and sanction for veterinary hospital and college

Meghalaya government decided to set up a veterinary hospital in Shillong and a veterinary college at Kyrdemkulai in Ri Bhoi district

Meghalaya government is planning to submit a proposal to the Center for the permission and sanction of a veterinary hospital and a college in state, said Minister in-charge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, A L Hek today.

Speaking to Northeast Live, Minister Hek said, ” We have proposed to the state government for a few projects such as a veterinary hospital in Shillong and a veterinary college at Kyrdemkulai in Ri Bhoi district. Through the state planning department, we will soon submit a proposal to the Government of India for approval and sanction.”

He said that he had also spoken to the State secretary today regarding the same and asked him to expedite the process since the Lok Sabha elections are rapidly approaching and almost all Central Minister will be occupied with the election.
