Meghalaya Govt Raises Security Concern Over Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Intrusions From Bangladesh Near Sohra And Shella
The Meghalaya government has raised serious concerns over recent unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) intrusions from Bangladesh near the border districts of Sohra and Shella. Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, who also oversees the Home and Police departments, confirmed that the state government has officially communicated these security concerns to the central government. These incidents, occurring amidst political instability in Bangladesh, have heightened security concerns along Meghalaya’s 443-kilometer-long border with the neighboring country.
