The state government has appointed Phidalia Toi as the chairperson of Meghalaya State Women’s Commission or MSCW.

Worth mentioning here filmmaker, social activist and author Phidalia Toi had contested on an NCP ticket from Jowai in 2003.

According to a Government notification, the new members of the commission include retired director, soil and water conservation, Semalotha Ch Sangma, Candida Kharsyntiew, and former lecturer Nongstoin College Felicita L Majaw, among others.
