Manipur University protests enter third month; Veteran politician joins MUSU agitation

The impasse in Manipur University has entered the third month now with no solution in sight to the ongoing crisis. The students and teachers of the varsity are relentlessly demanding the ouster of vice chancellor AP Pandey.

Showing solidarity with the agitators, veteran politician O Joy Singh joined the Manipur University Students Union agitation. O Joy Singh also resigned from the BJP in protest against the centre and state government’s failure to resolve the Manipur University crisis.

Earlier, today the veteran politician took out a solidarity rally and marched towards the university campus. Meanwhile, students and teachers in the university are continuing with their protests at the varsity premises.
