Manipur University crisis gets more complicated; police let off many while others still in custody

The Manipur police has released most of the students picked up from the university campus Thursday night. However, close to 30 named in the FIR are still in police custody.

Earlier, in an unprecedented move, a team of Manipur Police commandos along with CRPF men raided the Manipur University campus eventually picking up close to 100 students and 7 faculty members.
