Classes resumed at the Manipur University today following the end of the 85-day long impasse yesterday.

Marking the end of the agitation demanding removal of university Vice Chancellor Prof A P Pandey, members of the Manipur University Teachers Union along with MUSU and MUSA members opened the lock of the university building to pave way for conduct of classes after nearly three months.

It was a special occasion indeed in the university which had been completely shutdown for the past 85 days.

Representatives of MUSU, MUTA and MUSA jointly opened the locks of the university building.
