In a significant breakthrough, the Manipur Police have arrested 6 members as well as associates of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) (People’s War Group). The members of the proscribed group were arrested from Porompat in Imphal East district. As per a statement issued by the Manipur Police, the arrested KCP (PWG) rebels were involved in illegal arms transactions and extortion from general public, private firms as well as government offices.
