A fresh case positive case of COVID-19 has been reported in Manipur on Friday.
This takes the total number of Covid cases in the state to 26. Meanwhile, the number of active cases stands at 24.
According to initial reports, the individual who has been tested positive had returned from New Delhi and hails from Bishnupur district.
The COVID positive returnee has been admitted to the isolation ward of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences.
Manipur recorded the biggest single-day rise in Covid cases as 16 returnees test positive in a span of less than 8 hours on Wednesday.
As returnees continue to test positive in the state, the state government has decided to further streamline the entry of stranded people to the state.
