Manipur Police led by an Additional Director General of Police, Clay Khongsai, yesterday inspected the Indo-Myanmar border pillar 78 and 79 at Moreh.
This development comes following the Manipur government’s request to the center for the suspension of the Border fencing along the Indo-Myanmar Border between BP 79 and 82.
Now after the inspection it was observed that Border Road Organization at Moreh is still continuing with the construction work on the fencing of the border.
It may be mentioned that on June 22, 2022, the Home Department of the Government of Manipur had send a letter to the Union Home Secretary for a partial suspension of Border fencing.
The border fencing was constructed between Border Post 79 to 81, covering a length of 10 KM from Moreh to Kwatha Village.
DGP Sharma, informed that the two accused have gone underground after the crime.
