“Our citizens that informed today and they understood the reality that we are facing today and likewise they voted a party which lives in reality”, Arthur said.
After a thumping win in the 2 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, the Manipur Congress today felicitated its winning candidates.
While Bimol Akoijam won the Inner Manipur seat, Alfred Kanngam S Arthur won the outer seat. This is seen as a big victory for the Congress in Manipur after its drubbing in the last Assembly elections.
Speaking to the media after the felicitation programme, winning candidate from Outer Manipur seat Alfred K Arthur said that the people of the state have seen through the alleged fiction sold by the BJP in the state.
“Nothing is 100 percent in politics. Many people lose elections like you saw in the last elections in UP for Lok Sabha election, who imagine that the INDIA alliance will get more seats than BJP so I don’t live in imaginations,” Arthur said.
“Our citizens that informed today and they understood the reality that we are facing today, and likewise they voted a party which lives in reality”, he added.
Arthur further added that “This time, I believe the rules are really serious and prominent. I am confident that in the coming days we will to do something that will be good and progressive to our state”, Arthur stated.
