Manipur: One of Manipur’s oldest hospital, Kangpokpi Christian Hospital, full with patients

Established back in 1920 by Dr. GG Crozier and his wife, the Kangpokpi Christian Hospital was one of the busiest hospitals till the 1990s

The Kangpokpi Christian Hospital (KCH) which is Manipur’s oldest hospital and one of the earliest hospitals in the entire Northeast, comes back to its finest days amidst the wide-scale violence in the state. Though the violence brought life to an almost standstill hospital, it, however, turned into a blessing in disguise for the hospital as it starts witnessing an increasing in footfall. Established back in 1920 by Dr. GG Crozier and his wife, the Kangpokpi Christian Hospital was one of the busiest hospitals till the 1990s with patients thronging in from across the Northeast region.
