Manipur: NIA Arrests 2 Militants for Brutal Murder of Jiribam Woman

The two suspects are currently in NIA custody until May 17, as the agency continues its investigation into the incident.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two militants for their involvement in the brutal killing of a woman in Jiribam last November.
The arrested individuals, Nongthombam Meiraba from Bishnupur district and Sagolsem Sanatomba, also known as Surchandra Singh or Piba, from Thoubal district, belong to the banned insurgent groups United National Liberation Front (UNLF) and Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), respectively.
According to the NIA, Meiraba was directly involved in the fatal shooting of the woman, identified as Zosangkim, while Sanatomba participated in the widespread violence, including the burning and looting of homes in Zairawn village.
The two suspects are currently in NIA custody until May 17, as the agency continues its investigation into the incident.
