Manipur: Kangvai HS School reopens after 7 years

It may be mentioned that it is the only Higher Secondary School under the Henglep assembly constituency.

After a gap of 7 years, the Kangvai Higher Secondary School has become functional today and an inauguration program of the higher secondary cum felicitation was also held.

Notably, Manipur education minister Th Basanta Singh inaugurated the higher secondary both arts and science streams in the presence of officials and the gathering public and students.

Minister Th Basanta Singh also felicitated the class-XI students.

During his inaugural speech, Singh stated that he will try to improve the infrastructures of the Kangvai higher secondary school as well as other schools and provide recreational facilities to the school.

Singh also pointed out the need for the construction of residential schools in the hill areas while further stressing the need to appoint counselors for the students.

Meanwhile, the principal in charge of Kangvai Higher Secondary school grieved that there has an been acute shortage of teachers in the school and stated that they have no physics and mathematics teachers in the school.

The principal also stated that the school was upgraded to the level of higher secondary school from high school in the year 2015 and that it has the highest overall pass percentage in the Churachandpur district.

It may be mentioned that it is the only Higher Secondary School under the Henglep assembly constituency.
