In a breather for the state of Manipur, the 23-year-old girl from Churachandpur district who had a travel history to China was tested negative for COVID-19.
The development comes after her sample was tested at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences or RIMS in Imphal.
Meanwhile, the girl has been handed over to the medical authorities of Churachandpur and will be put under quarantine for 2 weeks starting from today.
The girl was admitted to the RIMS on Tuesday afternoon.
According to top sources, the girl travelled from a province in China by road on February 28 and reached Shinghat in Churachandpur by crossing the India-Myanmar border on April 6.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
