Continuing the war on drugs in Manipur, a team from the Imphal East Narcotic Cell busted a drug peddling racket at Khomidok Sorok Mapal in Imphal East and arrested two drug peddlers on Friday.
Based on specific inputs, the Narcotic Cell team raided a residence in Heigrumakhong and found five drug pushers using heroin powder in a room. The team arrested two people, including a woman who happens to be the house owner.

21grams of WY tablets, 16grams of heroin powder, one single barrel shotgun without a licence, two mobile phones, one tablet device, nine live cartidges, and two empty cartridges were recovered from the residence.
Meanwhile, the five drug users were handed over to a rehabilitation centre while the two arrested persons, along with the seized items, were handed over to Heingang Police Station to take necessary action against them.
