Manipur CM N Biren Singh reiterates stand on insurgency

CM N Biren Singh today reiterated his government’s commitment to making Manipur an insurgency-free state.

In an exclusive statement to Northeast Live, CM Biren Singh stated that the state government is cracking down on all insurgent elements in the state and not just the PLA.

Not only this, the CM further reiterated his appeal to all insurgent groups to shun the path of violence and come forward for dialogue.

It may be mentioned here that the CM’s statement comes in the backdrop of as many as 5 rebels including a woman of the proscribed Peoples’ Liberation Army (PLA) being apprehended by security forces in the state’s Thoubal district on Tuesday.
