Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday visited Ukhrul and Senapati districts to review status of COVID-19 management.
During his visit to Ukhrul district, CM Biren Singh interacted with doctors, other healthcare workers along with CSOs leaders and discussed various measures for overall management of the pandemic. The meeting held at Mini Secretariat was also attended by Kamjong district officials.
Singh also assured that the state government would take utmost care of the frontline workers and ensure adequate oxygen supply in the two hill districts.
He also visited the Covid Care Center established at Ukhrul district headquarters and personally monitored the arrangements made for the patients.
Later in the day, CM Biren Singh chaired a review meeting to take stock of the status of COVID-19 management in Senapati district.
Biren Singh held discussions with ministers, MLAs, DC, SP, CMO and CSOs on the measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the district.
The Chief Minister also handed over a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance along with 10 oxygen concentrators to the district authorities to tackle the infection.
