Campaigning for the second and final phase of polling for the Manipur Assembly Elections concluded today. The stage is set for Phase 2 of Elections.
Come Saturday, over 8.25 lakh voters will decide the fate of 92 candidates in as many as 22 Assembly constituencies.
Polling will be held in the electoral districts of Thoubal, Chandel, Ukhrul, Senapati, Tamenglong & Jiribam. With as many as 10 Assembly seats, Thoubal will be the district to watch out for followed by Ukhrul, Senapati and Tamenglong with 3 Assembly seats each.
22 BJP candidates, 18 Congress candidates, close to 12 NPP candidates and 10 NPF candidates among others are in fray in he second phase.
Elaborate security arrangements are in place for the last phase of polling amid growing concerns over possible booth capturing and poll rigging.
