Manipur: Assam Rifles withdrawn from critical checkpoint in Bishnupur district

In a big move, the Manipur government has approved the withdrawal of Assam Rifles from a critical checkpoint at Moirang Lamkhai in Bishnupur district.

Manipur ADGP (Law and Order) L. Kailun issued an order through a notification in this regard. The order stated that the CRPF and police will replace the 9 Assam Rifles with immediate effect at the critical checkpoint along the Bishnupur-Kangvai road.
