Manipur: 2 People Dies After Car Falls Into Loktak Lake

The incident took place at around 9 p.m. on Thursday near the Boat House at Sendra, which is a portion of the Loktak Lake.
Two people died and two others were injured when their car feel into the Loktak Lake in Manipur. The accident took place on Thursday.
According to the Moirang police station in the Bishnupur district of Manipur, the incident took place at around 9 p.m. on Thursday near the Boat House at Sendra, which is a portion of the Loktak Lake.
As per reports, four friends were returning from a meeting at Nambol market and heading towards Sendra when the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to negotiate a sudden curve and take a U-turn.
One of the friends and the driver identified as Akoijam Premchand got locked inside the car and died. The others managed to break the car window and escape.
The other person who died has been identified as Irengbam Bisheshwor (22), resident of Tronglaobi in the same district. The injured are Hemam Haridas (24), and Kongjengbam Bipin Singh (26). They were rushed to the hospital by locals.
