Union Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development, Maneka Gandhi on the second day of her three day visit to Sikkim, said in a statement, that the government will pass the anti-human trafficking bill in the parliament through which minors involved in a crime will be sentenced adequate term.
Gandhi also visited the Integrated Child Development Services centre in Gangtok and ushered praises saying that compared to other states the ICDS centre in Sikkim is far ahead in terms of education and infrastructure.
The minister will also pay visits to Freedom shelter home, Women Helpline centre in Lumsey, Mamatalya and Rainbow children’s Home in Gangtok. Gandhi also met Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at Mintokling earlier this morning.
