Hungry and thinking of ordering food? After reading this story you might want to think twice about what you are ordering and from where.
Ranjan Das, a resident of Guwahati ordered chicken dry fry and smoked chicken from an eatery named Momo Hut situated in Beltola area of the city.
When his ordered arrived, Das was excited about having a tasty meal. But he was aghast at what he saw inside the chicken pieces. The minute Das broke open a piece of chicken before popping them into his mouth, to his utter dismay and horror, he found creepy maggots inside the pieces of chicken.
Disgusted and angry, Ranjan Das took to social media to share his ordeal, with a sarcastic caption.
He wrote, “If you wanna try maggots, just order from this place… We ordered smoke chicken and chicken dry fry through Zomato from this place… and look what we found in our smoke chicken – bonus maggots, free! 😖😖😖😖🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢”
This incident has once again put the spotlight back on how hygienic are the food we order from various food outlets. Are we eating safe, clean food from the eateries that we order online? Do these outlets maintain hygiene while storing or preparing food? Is anyone monitoring them? What about food safety protocols?
