The Imphal East SP said that repolling is going on peacefully in 4 polling stations. SP Shivakanta Singh also informed that adequate security arrangements are in place. Meanwhile, Congress candidate for Manipur Inner seat Bimol Akoijam said that the government should have made prior security arrangements to avert attempts made by those trying to disrupt the electoral process. Repoll in these polling stations were necessitated after incidents of firing, clashes and vandalism was reported during the 1st phase of Lok Sabha polls on April 19. The affected polling stations where repolling is underway include Moirangkampu Sajeb and Thongam Leikai in Khurai constituency, four in Kshetrigao, one in Thongju in Imphal East district, and three in Uripok and one in Konthoujam in Imphal West district.
