The 205th birth anniversary of the legendary poet Bhanubhakta Acharya was celebrated today in Gangtok.

A huge cultural procession was taken out across the town to celebrate the day. Decked in their traditional Nepali attire, students from various schools, colleges and NGOs took part in the procession.

Bhanu Jayanti which is the birth anniversary of the legendary poet and writer Bhanubhakta Acharya who translated Ramayana into the Nepali language is celebrated with great cultural and literary fervour by the Nepalese people all over the world.
