Women from the Kuki community staged a silent protest outside Union Home Minister, Amit Shah’s residence in New Delhi today, demanding restoration of peace and normalcy in conflict-torn Manipur. Holding placards the protestors marched towards the Union Home Minister’s Residence before they were stopped by the security personnel posted outside the residence. “Article 356 not 355”, “Kuki lives matter”, “Amit Shah you promised us peace”, besides others were written on the placards as the women protesters staged a silent protest outside the Home Minister’s residence.
